COSTA DEL SOL AREAS
The Costa del Sol has been, and still is, one of Europe's most popular holiday destinations. The
miles of beaches, first class golf courses, excellent climate, choice of entertainment and wealth
of culture makes this area an attractive option for visitors practically all year round.
TWO WORLDS ON THE COAST
There are really two worlds on Spain's southern coast - the high developed costal strip, including
resorts like Torremolinos and the inland timeless Moorish-influenced Andalucia of Granada, Ronda
and the "white villages". Villa developments straddle both these worlds. You can choose to be
on the coast or up in the hills, though you will certainly need a car if you stay far inland.

CHOICE OF GOLF OPTIONS
The area is one of the World's major golf centres, with several beautifully designed and tended courses to
choose from. Most have villa, town house or apartment complexes attached, so if golf is your game, you'll
definitely be spoilt for choice. Even if you don't play. |
ACCOMMODATION OPTIONS:
You can also have the best of both worlds. If you prefer to be accommodated nearer the coastline,
most of the first class golf courses are located near to prime beachside resorts or a selection of
private properties.
Villas: A golf course villa can be a good idea, often offering spectacular & open vistas over the course.
The tranquility can only be disturbed by the occassional miss-hit ball! |
 |
Winter Period: The Costa del Sol has one of the mildest winter climate, which is why more and more people are taking longer
winter breaks away from the rigours and heating bils of the British winter. Rates for long rentals during October until April low season
are usually very reasonable and there's plenty of choice.
Other Rental Options: There is a huge choice of villa, town house and apartment accommodation
all the way between Malaga to Gibraltar. This area is a busy built-up coastline, but don't let that put you
off. There are lots going on and entertainment for everyone.
Torrelemolinos in particular is great fun, while Marbella and Puerto Banus remain stylish and chic. If you
really do want peace and quiet, you can always head for the hills, or further east where the stretch beyond
Malaga is less developed. Nerja is the main resort there and very pleasant it is too. |
