Almenara Golf
Location: In the Sotogrande Urbanisation, next to Valderrama, Ctra. de Cadiz (coast road) Km. 132
This is a 27 hole golf course set in the upper part of Sotogrande, 500 metres from Valderrama and only 5 minutes from the beach. This course was opened in March 1998 and is the latest jewel in Andalucia's already glittering crown.

Course Information
The layout has two clearly defined sections, the first part is the wooded terrain so typical of the Sotogrande area and the second through more open scenery including a spectacular lake.
Generally surrounded by cork oak trees, wild pines and several streams as well as a natural lake, all of which serve to make this a very beautiful course. |

The golf course consists of 27 holes allowing you to enjoy up to three different 18-hole combinations, all with a par of 72, so that each game is a new challenge for the player. The fairways wander among exceptionally beautiful natural landscapes, amidst two large lakes surrounded by pine and cork oak trees, which take on a singular prominence.
There are excellent facilities at Almenara with a superb practice area located nearby consisting of 27 driving bays which is the envy of many clubs. In this practice area there are three full-length holes to enjoy, chipping and putting greens as well practice bunkers. Almenara is as spacious as a dream. Its 148 roomed hotel, 12 of which can be converted into comfortable Junior Suites or Two-Bedroom Suites, are unique spaces woven into a natural setting featuring exceptional characteristics.
